How Much and When: Forecasting Epic Pass’s Final Price Increase of the Season
October 19, 2025•Blog
If you’re considering an Epic Pass for the upcoming season but haven’t purchased yet, you may be wondering: how much will next price increase be and when will it happen? Based on historical trends and Vail Resorts’ past announcements, the final Epic Pass price increase of the season is expected on or around November 16, 2025.
Here are the prices you can expect after the deadline, and why that date is the most likely.
Epic Pass Price Trends
The first three Epic Pass price changes in a season tend to be modest. Between May 2021 and October 2025, these increases have ranged from $16 to $24 per adjustment.
However, the final increase in November before the pass goes off sale tends to be significantly larger. From 2021 through 2024, the Epic Pass increased by an average of $56 in November. This year, a $62 increase is expected after the deadline, bringing the Epic Pass price to $1,183.

Notably, the November prices changes for the Epic Local Pass have been even larger during that period, with a $70 average increase. That change may come as a surprise to those expecting something closer to the $13 to $16 increases seen between May and October. As for the November 2025 deadline, an increase of $82 is expected for Epic Local Pass, with $915 being the final price of the season.
Price Change Timing
Epic Pass prices typically increase four times through the year: at the beginning and end of summer, in October, and once more in November.
So far in 2025, each price change has occurred one day earlier than it did in 2024. In 2024, the final increase was on November 17th. If the relationship between the deadline dates remains consistent, the final increase this year will likely fall on November 16th.
Announcement Timing and Grace Periods
Vail Resorts typically announces upcoming price deadlines two to three weeks in advance, allowing time to buy a pass at the current rate. However, if you miss the published deadline, you may still have a short window to buy at the lower price.
Historically, there’s been a grace period (often under 36 hours) before prices actually change on the Epic Pass website. For example, if the announcement states that prices will increase on a Sunday night, the actual change has typically occurred late on Monday or early Tuesday, offering a brief opportunity to lock in the lower rate.
That said, relying on this grace period isn’t recommended, as timing can vary.
Final Sales Window
In addition to the final price increase, it’s worth noting that Epic Pass sales usually close entirely in the first week of December.
Summary
- Likely Next Price Increase: November 16th, 2025
- Expected Increases: $62 for Epic Pass & $82 for Epic Local Pass
- Pass Sales End: First week of December
